Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Mustieles earned his medical degree with honors from Universidad del Zulia. His early medical career was marked by service, providing general medical care in both private clinics and rural settings. He played an active role in public health initiatives and even assisted in surgical procedures, demonstrating a dedication to comprehensive, community-focused care from the very beginning.
After relocating to the United States, Dr. Mustieles completed his psychiatry residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Florida. During this rigorous training, he developed deep expertise across diverse psychiatric settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, geriatric, forensic, and addiction psychiatry. This broad-based experience allows him to approach each patient’s needs with exceptional insight and versatility.
What truly sets Dr. Mustieles apart is his patient-centered and culturally responsive approach.
